The problem
Thousands of wire harness configurations managed with a filing system from the 1990s. Every new train model meant weeks of manual cross-referencing.
The approach
I built a harness configuration system that generates the Bill of Materials and the Preferred Parts List for every onboard wiring variant — so purchasing, production, and maintenance read from the same source of truth across fleets.
The outcome
Configuration time dropped from weeks to minutes. One source of truth for every wiring variant across the fleet.
